Arrived at Santa Fe RV park today. It’s not like De Anza Springs but will have to do😢 No fitness room open, small outdoor pool closes at 10pm, construction and freeway noise. I’ll be checking out around town during the day anyway.😉

Took the Jeep to explore Big Bend National Park today. Just too much to see in one day plus alot of paths have been closed. Long day.

Actually started from Hondo, TX after the gas delivery truck woke me up since I was in his spot😂 forgot about this app. Track my Trip. Has all the info instead of depending me which we know how that’s gonna be. I’ll give y’all all I got 😉

Started from Interstate 10 MM 800 at 14:30 way of crow flies. Actually took Highway 90 to Interstate 10 West.  After bouncing over the big RR tracks in Dayton I remembered I left the ramp loose in the Jeep backend😂 a pull off to fix that before it flew off and hurt someone. FML

Stopped at Buc-cees MM 739 at 16:10 to fill up (not sure if the gas gauge is working🤔) but couldn’t find a level spot. The parking assist ain’t working so it rolls. I can’t put the brake on and chock at the same time 🤬 Therefore I improvised….used my camera tripod to wedge on the brake while I hopped out to put chock. Got my adrenaline going cause it started rolling as I had the chock in my hand😱 thought #TheBeast was gonna roll over it! Found out Daisy jumped on the driver seat and knocked my wedge off! Whew

Started on the busy expressway and the damn door flew open! 🤬 OMG thought Willy was gonna jump out the door! I was screaming at the poor dude until I pulled it over. Back on the road, I’ll be damned if it didn’t do it again😱….This time I double locked and bungee cords it💭

Pulled off at MM639 at rest area to get my bearings and chill out before proceeding. Forgot what a beautiful Texas sunset looked like.

Getting The Beast ready to pull out Monday morning and head West. Even got my silicone straws to use instead of plastic, any help to the environment is a plus. Thanks Dingo for the 4 oceans bracelet!

It leaves me with a heavy heart to depart NOLA with such wonderful hospitality and family fun! My heart ❤️ is always “at home” in NOLA, this is where Kelly took her first steps even! But my adventure takes me on to Texas to see my other loved family and friends just as wonderful. And then eventually making it to Washington State with yet another loved “family” and friends. I miss all of y’all but I can’t be in different places at once. I’m excited to start my travels and meet all the people on my journey in #thebeast 💖💖❤️🌹💕💕

Getting all my routes and stuff together for trip. Hopefully no self quarantines along the way but if so it will just take me longer. No worries Be Happy. Here are the routes to San Diego where I am planning to stay a couple weeks anyway.
